Briley competed last night at the US Covergirl Classic in Chicago, IL. It was Briley's first meet of the 2010 season, where she debuted a few new skills, such as front tuck + flip flop + back layout two feet series. Look for new pictures and videos from the meet later this week.

Briley will be competing at the US Covergirl Classic this weekend on July 24 in Chicago, Illinois. She will be in the senior session at 7:00 p.m. at the UIC Pavilion. Briley has already qualified for the VISA Championships in Hartford, CT. She will use this competition as a warm up. The Universal Sports will be broadcasting the US Covergirl Classic live. Briley celebrated the past meet season with her team mates, parents and friends in Allen, TX on Friday, June 18. Dinner was followed by Valeri Liukin and Yevgeny Marchenko's congratulatory speeches and many team pictures. You can view some of the banquet pictures under Briley's personal photo album.

Briley enjoyed her week long training in Fano Italy with her WOGA elite team mates and Italian team. She is now home and ready to resume full training, preparing for The CoverGirl Classic in July.

Briley landed in Rimini, Italy early this morning with many of her WOGA elite team mates. She is now in Fano where the team will be training with the Italian National team for a week. Coaches Valeri and Anna Liukin, Laurent and Cecile Landi-along with Nastia Liukin and Juliette Landi are on the trip. Training and a few day excursions are planned.

On November 21, 2009 Briley had surgery to insert a screw into the scaphoid bone of her right wrist. The scaphoid was broken during a practice on the uneven bars. Briley’s healing process went very well and her cast was removed after 8 weeks. She then began the rehabilitation process.
Since last summer, Briley was in physical therapy to address pain in her left ankle. Therapy was not showing any progress. On January 14, 2010, Briley underwent surgery on her left ankle to remove scar tissue. The timing of this surgery fit well with the rehabilitation of her wrist. The doctors projected that the ankle and the wrist would recover and be ready for full workouts at the same time.
Currently Briley is attending physical therapy every day and is working out every day at the gym. The target is for Briley to be fully rehabilitated and ready for full workouts by no later than May first. Briley’s goals are to compete at the 2010 Cover Girl Classic and the 2010 Visa Championships.

Recently Briley, teammates and friends spent an afternoon of fun with a makeover at NorthPark Mall, Dallas.
